We’re proud to be part of DHL’s GoGreen Plus initiative, reducing carbon emissions in shipping through sustainable aviation fuel and other innovations. To support sustainable logistics, we cover the cost of carbon reduction for each kilogram shipped, offsetting emissions for about 90% of customer deliveries. This initiative helps minimise our environmental footprint while ensuring efficient, responsible shipping.

We comply with the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), ensuring our imported goods meet the latest carbon pricing regulations. Introduced by the European Union, CBAM imposes a carbon cost on imports, creating a level playing field and promoting sustainable production globally. At Xometry, we keep our partners informed about CBAM and support them in meeting regulatory requirements. By working closely with them, we help ensure carbon transparency and drive sustainability across our supply chain.

We ensure our warehouse operations align with our sustainability goals by optimizing waste management. We’ve added recycling bins and promote packaging reuse among our suppliers to minimize waste. We also prioritize sustainable sourcing by ordering in bulk, reducing shipments and our carbon footprint. Additionally, we encourage suppliers to use paper fillers instead of plastic chips to cut plastic waste. These measures make our logistics and storage more environmentally friendly.

At Xometry, sustainability goes beyond supply chains and shipping—it’s also about how we work. To cut our carbon footprint, we support sustainable mobility with cycling and public transport. We also run sports competitions and cycling challenges to encourage eco-friendly travel, benefiting both the environment and employee well-being.

Sustainability goes beyond reducing emissions—it’s also about restoring and protecting natural ecosystems. We have partnered with Tree-Nation to support reforestation campaigns, helping to absorb CO₂ and restore vital forests. Additionally, through our Blue Friday campaign, we contribute to Healthy Seas, an initiative focused on recovering abandoned fishing nets and repurposing them into sustainable products.
