Description
PC-PBT (polycarbonate/polybutylene terephthalate) is a thermoplastic alloy developed specifically for FDM/FFF 3D printing. It maintains strong thermal resistance and toughness even at low temperatures (-20℃/-30℃), and also offers good chemical resistance. Through physical blending, PC-PBT combines the benefits of PC and PBT, with PC providing strength and impact resistance at room temperature, and PBT improving rigidity retention at high temperatures. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 45–65 MPa, a flexural modulus of 2000–3500 MPa, and improved wear resistance compared to conventional single-component materials. For thermal resistance, typical models offer a heat deflection temperature of over 120°C, making them ideal for use in high-temperature settings, including automotive engine compartments.
