Description
Composed mainly of carbon and chromium, 420 stainless steel powder is a martensitic stainless steel suitable for fabricating wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant parts through powder metallurgy. It typically contains 12% to 14% chromium and 0.15% to 0.40% carbon in its chemical composition, with molybdenum sometimes added to enhance resistance to pitting corrosion. The material exhibits a hardness of around HB 200 in the annealed condition. After undergoing heat treatment, its hardness can be elevated to HRC 50-55, and a tensile strength of 1700 mpa
